Think About It

Question 1:
If you knew a woman who was pregnant, who had 8 kids already, three who were deaf, two who were blind, one mentally retarded, and she had syphilis, would you recommend that she have an abortion?

Question 2:
It is time to elect a new world leader, and only your vote counts. Here are the facts about the three candidates. Who would you vote for?

Candidate A: Associates with crooked politicians, and consults with astrologist. He's had two mistresses. He also chain smokes and drinks 8 to 10 martinis a day.

Candidate B: He was kicked out of office twice, sleeps until noon, used opium in college and drinks a quart of whiskey every evening.

Candidate C: He is a decorated war hero. He's a vegetarian, doesn't smoke, drinks an occasional beer and never cheated on his wife.

Which of these candidates would be your choice?

Candidate A is Franklin D. Roosevelt.
Candidate B is Winston Churchill.
Candidate C is Adolf Hitler.

And, by the way, on your answer to the abortion question:
If you said YES, you just killed Beethoven.

Pretty interesting isn't it? Makes a person think before judging someone.

Remember amateurs...built the ark. Professionals...built the Titanic

This was really interesting Flleenie...I would have killed Beethoven and elected Hitler...! Now, that is scary...!

I am not sure that the info about Beethoven and his siblings is accurate...And I do know that Beethoven was not born deaf but became deaf as a grown man...

Still....It is scary to think of the decisions one might make.

Here from Michele's this early morning...!

Interesting post, Flleenie. I love that tidbit about Beethoven. Scary to think that Hitler's profile as you described him, makes him seem a very desirable candidate especially when compared to many of today's world leaders. ACK!!

Here from Michele's. She said "hi", by the way. *waves*

Nice one Flleenie - I have used a similar one that is

If you could go back in time, would you kill Hitler as a baby?

When they confidently say 'yes', I ask - 'you could kill a helpless, harmless baby?' and then they have to think.......

Michele sent me to say hi, which is a fabulous coincidence as I picked your very funny caption from last week at the Palace!! :-)

I have seen this before and it really does make me stop and think. Kind of puts Clinton's indiscretions into perspective and makes us appreciate all the good he did. Good fodder for the whole nature vs nurture discussion. Thanks for visiting and your very kind comments!

I've seen this before, and it still surprised me:-)
Michele didn't send me here today, but I did get a link from her page...

It's been interesting the past couple of days watching discussions of (especially sexual) misbehaviour by politicians: the republicans trying to remind constantly that "Clinton did it too" (though at least his was not intended to be happening in a public place! or with underage children!) as though this excused their behaviour (and apparently in the case of Craig, hypocrisy).

The second question here really does add another little bit of context to all these discussions.
